Along with quality patient care services provided
at the hospital, we at Mercy reach out to our citizens and neighbors through
a variety of community health and wellness programs and through sponsorship
of rural health care clinics in area communities. Primary care clinics in the
rural communities of Arma and Pleasanton provide basic health services to citizens
in need of care but distanced from full-service medical facilities. In addition,
through community health fairs, special health awareness campaigns and wellness
programs, Mercy brings charitable and low-cost service to the community. Such
services include:
Community Health Fairs. Adult and children's
health fairs are offered in the community. For more information on times and
locations, call 620-223-7026.
Stephen Ministry, where listening is the
key component. The program pairs trained volunteers with individuals in the
community who are in need of a friend or a one-on-one, completely confidential
companion-type relationship. For more information, contact Sister Concetta
Cardinale at 620-223-7028.
